Colors:
Kyanite du Népal fountain pen ink is a bright blue pulling towards turquoise. It is magnified thanks to a cloud of silver glitter for powerful and elegant writing.
Amethyste De L’Oural fountain pen ink is a deep rich purple in the velvety hue of a rare gemstone. A silver mist provides a lustrous shimmering and sheen effect.
*Due to the particles added to the ink to create the shimmer, you may experience restricted ink flow in some pens. It is recommended to shake the ink before filling your pen and to gently roll the pen in your hands before use, this will help keep the shimmer in the ink consistent and help with preventing clogging but not entirely. You will also want to be sure and keep your pen well maintained and clean when using shimmer inks.

Akkerman Inks
The faceted ink bottle is characterized by the long-neck, in which there is a glass marble. By tilting the closed ink bottle, the neck of the bottle fills itself with ink. When the bottle is put on a flat surface again, the marble will fall back and prevent the ink from flowing back into the bottle. In the neck of the bottle there is now a small reservoir and you can easily fill your fountain pen, even when the pot is almost empty!
Akkerman Limited Edition Inks
The original shape of the bottle, which is typified by the long neck with marble, derives from the thirties. In addition to the long neck, the bottle is characterized by the rounded shape and wide, stable base.
By tilting the closed bottle the bottle neck itself with ink. When righted, the marble will fall vertically and prevent the ink to flow back. This creates a reservoir above the marble which is easy to fill, even if the jar is almost empty.

The Ink
Conventional fountain pen ink can consist of up to six types of ingredients:
- solvent (water)
- colorant (dyes)
- humectant (wetting)
- surfactant (flow)
- preservative (biocide)
- buffer (pH)
Our fountain pen ink has only three total components because our binding agent acts as humectant, surfactant, and preservative all in one. Our well-behaved ink flows medium-wet yet dries fairly quickly.
The Bottle
Our fountain pen ink is dispensed in a small 20 milliliter transport vial. We chose plastic vials over traditional glass bottles for several reasons:
- appropriate for storing chemical solutions
- leak proof
- shatter resistant
- easy to carry
- no bottleneck
- recyclable
- inexpensive
