Black Fountain pens have long been the reigning color of choice until the Duofold was released in 1921 only produced in the color Big Red to show that black wasn’t the only color people wanted, but all great Pens do eventually come in Black and the Duofold was no Exception with a black version being first released in 1923 and has since been a beautiful addition to the duofold family started by it’s Big Red older brother
