Scribo La Dotta Orefici
$580.00
Via Orefici was the street of jewelers, while Via Drapperie was the street of cloth merchants. Both streets
were built in the Middle Ages and were important commercial centers for centuries.
Via Orefici was originally called ‘Via degli Orefici’ because this was where the goldsmiths’ workshops
were located. The street was already important in the 12th century, when it was mentioned in a document
from 1113. Over the centuries, Via Orefici became one of the most important streets in Bologna for
buying jewellery.
