The Kaleido’s 12 sided shape leads to a bigger barrel, as such the section has a longer thread to ensure a smooth transition between barrel & section. This does cause an increase in the number of turns in order to unscrew the cap, this makes a more air tight cap helping to prevent thed nib from drying out.
